Lions Community Services activities can range from a donation to a school for books and/or equipment, helping to count the money the morning after Carnival Night, assisting an individual with a problem, to a large donation to a hospital for a piece of equipment. We are also frequently asked to loan a wheelchair or zimmer frame when needed. Often manpower is required, perhaps to park cars at events or running the mulled wine stall when the Christmas Lights are switched on at the Victorian Evening. This provides us with the welcome opportunity to meet the local people who give us such great support.

lminster Lions were invited to attend the last awards evening at Swanmead School earlier this week. We were privileged to be invited to present two awards. One was presented by our retiring President Peter Sennett and the other by our incoming President Shirley Farley. Also attending on our behalf where Glenys Whaites and Mike Doble.
